I have a buddy whose sort of like this. Oddly enough he basically calls every season but 4 shit. I cannot recommend skipping any seasons, even if the first two are rocky and have a bunch of wasted time, its all in good fun really. I found myself getting through most of the series dry parts by mapping out power-levels in my head, it passes the time quite well.
