What if you try for more of a ground/dark type pokemon? I could see it as a nightmarish creature, give it a huge mouth and make it like a fuzzy version of those creatures from Tremors. A huge mole thing that bursts through the ground during rain and swallows other pokemon whole or drags them down underground, even taking down vehicles.
