>>44075296To be fair, having defined joints and muscles is different enough. It's sort of the difference between a character's mouth being modeled and being a texture. That also having been said it's mostly on model still. The model sheet in and of itself doesn't have the muscle definition, but stylistic differences and all that. It's a fine design in the right style, it's a shame GF kinda botches this. Then again they're also the ones who did entirely different art for Blue version and basically none of the changes stuck, but it's the first exposure people in the west got to the designs so now people have dumb expectations. Like, Red/Green and Blue artwork for Nidoking is very different, look it up.
