In ORAS they reused the Ruby and Sapphire entry because they just copy and pasted it without using the corrected on from Emerald. You're also ignoring the fact that those terms are also used to describe Pokémon even in modern titles.
We have sources from 2012 and a recall of 1997 saying they don't exist in the Pokémon universe.
