1: Start normally, until you select your starter Pokémon in Oak's Lab.
2: Save and reset.
3: Start a new game.
4: After you do all the usual crap, save, then reset the emulator (touch the screen and hit reset about 2 frames in.) Any earlier corrupts the save; any later overwrites the previous save file.
5: Selecting "continue" makes you have the starter Pokémon from the last save. Continue and do all the crap, until you get another starter.
6: Repeat 2-5
