Plus being humanoid shouldn’t mean much because it’s not human. Again such animals do exist kinda. Apes and primates for one. There’s the famous tale of Hanno the Navigator who might have come into contact with chimpanzees or apes who he refers to as an aggressive hairy tribe of people, or i recall the Macedonians in India referring to monkeys as a hairy tribe of men, I think. Gorillas were also at one point seen as cryptids and explorers referred to them as “human like” monsters. It’s not until the 19th century when gorillas were better understood and seen as just another type of animal. These are examples of real life creatures that in some way could be seen as human like but still seen as animals.
In Pokémon it’s even less like that because I recall Masuda saying that the people of the Pokémon universe see Pokémon as a collective. Anyways that’s just the way the people who made the universe structured it, there’s no “human” Pokémon. Any bipedal one is the same as a four legged one. In fact if the Pokédex is right than non bipedal ones like Ninetales are more intelligent than the bipedal Pokémon except for the abra line.
