>>25036253There are some that are (SakuyaP's similarity to Scizor for instance), but the different game mechanics, typing, and movepools means they're still pretty different, and generally the Pokemon counterpart is stronger. For instance, SakuyaP doesn't get the game's equivalent of Pursuit and doesn't have STAB on the game's equivalent to U-turn, and her strongest fighting move even with STAB pre-expansion was tied with Scizor's non-STAB Superpower anyways. MomijiE is basically puppet Ferrothorn, but she doesn't get the game's Spike equivalent and Steel is not the defensive juggernaut it is in Pokemon by any means as mentioned earlier in this thread. RaikoA post-expansion is basically a Rotom alternate form without levitate but with access to Decresendo (aka Parting Shot) to make it somehow even more annoying to deal with.
A lot of the strongest puppets though have no direct counterpart, like SukunaD or AyaP.
