I don't think the Gen IV games are fun, at all. I think they're perfectly competent games and they changed a lot of mechanics in the series for the better, but the bottom line is despite all of that I just find them very slow, dull, and no fun to actually play. I think every gen before and after is more enjoyable including Gen VIII
