i recently finished the main plot of pokemon shield. absolutely wasn’t what was expected - story in face and focused on gym challenge more than actual story. very little to no build up to the true villain reveal, just happened suddenly. only redeeming thing was bringing down the villain along with saving galar. honestly, i just paid more attention to the side parts of the story like opal looking for a replacement when she ends her career as a gym leader. overall, it was worse than other storylines that i have seen.
