So what's the quickest team for grinding? Tapping megas are useful but the extra seconds for each match really add up. Ampharos might be useful if yours is leveled. I've been using Rayquaza and its useful I guess. Sometimes the bonus combos at the end waste some time. Mega Sceptile is very tedious to use since all of the best grass Pokemon (Virizion, Shaymin, Bellossom) are all a similar shade of green which makes it hard to make combos. It will slow you down a lot. Aerodactyl might work if yours is leveled and fully MSUed because of the constant wood/metal disruptions
