Unfortunately the randomizer's "fastest text speed" option seems to be broken in gen 4 and if a move has a secondary effect the "Pokemon used move!" text disappears too fast to see what they used, which is dangerous in a Nuzlocke, and I couldn't find a working fast text AR code, so I had to settle for the normal in-game fast text option which is unfortunate. Oh well. It's probably just my shitty laptop but I don't see anyway way around it so whatever.
I failed three of my encounters either due to running out of balls or accidental crits, which is a personal record for this early in the game. And I'm super pissed because two of them were Mamoswine and Leafeon. But then I found OG starter based Flowre in the Oreburgh Mine after picking up a random Leaf Stone and I'm not so bummed about Leafeon anymore. It's like pottery. Kricketune is... fine, I guess? With the gen 6 buffs Fury Cutter is actually great for early game and even managed to take down two-thirds of Roarke's team. Not bad for a shitmon.
