>Pokemon Go Touch Grass(working title)
Same engine as pokemon go but more similar to the mainline games, specifically the battling and leveling portion. Catching works like arceus where you can just throw a ball or battle to make it easier. Upon capture your whole team(of six) gains experience.
>gyms
Most current gyms become pokestops with maybe some more features. The rarer gyms are claimed once by a single player who becomes gym leader with an AI controlling their gym party (seperate from). Beating a gym gives you a badge which later can be used to access tournaments and rarer items. Gym leaders get kicked out after 5 consecutive losses from 5 different players. The same player can rebattle a gym but will gain less exp and other rewards from completion.
>encounters
The most notable change is a departure from pokemon go's encounter system and making almost completely environment based(with a bit of leniency) like you're not going to find horsea anywhere except the ocean. There will be global trading and eggs to get pokemon not native to your area but local players may have a bit of an overlap teamwise.
Currently trading in pokemon go feels pretty much worthless.
