Okay, this thread needs bumped, so I'm going to leave a subpar post by just pastaing something I've already written down that's really just a theme instead of an actual interesting idea:
(Of a Fire-type gym)
>The gym leader is a keyboardist. The entire inside of the gym has wallpaper that, even though it's printed with a fire design, is all in dark, cool colours, and is lit by lanterns on the walls. The back of the gym where the leader is has a big ol' fireplace. Maybe there are lamps you can light up with fire-type moves to help you get around the gym better.
