It seems inevitable that the people who live the closest in vicinity to the Great Crater of Paldea, might fall terribly ill on their birthdays. It seems that no cure and no medicine will save them if that's the case, despite my dear Professor leading a team of medical experts into the surrounding crater itself.
Area Zero is a beautiful and deceptive place. The grass is verdant and lush. Pokemon will gather at the crystalline waters to drink. But if you look closer, you will notice that they are not the same pokemon we know above. And perhaps the question comes to mind, are those even Pokemon that we see before our very eyes, or are they monsters?
And within Area Zero itself, where do the dropped items come from? Do they fall from above or are they the last belongings of stranded travellers?
If you take even one lesson from Mr Hassell's classes, you might witness one curious phenomenon. In ancient times, moth and butterfly Pokemon symbolised death in some circles. Many are drawn to light and lamps like the iridescent crystals deep in Area Zero. And so are curious explorers, venturing deep into the depths in search of light and flickering motion that can all to quickly consume them.
