>>56030759>>56030765>not exactly useless, butWhen Alex's Dreepy finally evolves, it gets into a few mishaps that leads to him shipping it off to a training camp. It doesn't come back until the very end of Act 4 when it's already evolved. During its training period it repeatedly had its Dreepy taken away from it, it was put in a cage and Drakloak was forced to go through increasingly difficult obstacle courses in order to rescue it, repeatedly. It gets shipped back to him once it has evolved. Its handlers wore masks that they frequently changed out in order to avoid it leaving a lasting impression. This is the reason that Dragapult is so incredibly agile, and it also serves to make Alex's exploits in Act 4 more difficult. It has no knowledge that Alex was the one who shipped it off. This is the closest that Alex has ever come to genuinely abusing his Pokemon, and when it comes back to him I am considering having a rare bonding moment where it tackle-hugs him. After all that time training it's just happy to see its master again. Arceus forbid that it ever finds out the truth, though.
