Your overall colour palette is... well, boring. Safe. It doesn't vary that much, just slightly changed values, making it look flat. You shadows and highlights are another valuable tool for creating mood, adjust their colours to create warmth or coolness and create the light of the environment around the pokemon.
aaand there's no variance in the colour of the tiles on the ground. Assuming it's a ground, not a wall. Or the scales of a gyrados or salamence. Haha, see? Again, another opportunity to build up your picture! Or you could've just left it a white background and done a simple circular shadow for the box, you don't have to feel pressured to always create a background and focus instead of your pokemon creation.
