>>43988351>magic typeI'm sorry but no that doesn't work as a Type, because Pokémon themselves are already magic. They all have magic abilities. Having Magic as a Type would be incredibly boring in a fictional setting that's already filled with all sorts of magic.
>>43988260>>43988070I seriously love Grimmsnarl and all, but I don't think all Fairy Types should be like that or have that sort of edge to them.
Some people actually enjoy girly things, and that's what Fairy Type is meant to be. People keep trying to say that all the Fairy Types should be cool mythological ones like Grimmsnarl, but that just wouldn't be right. If you don't LIKE girly pink shit, that doesn't mean Fairy Type needs to change, it means the Type just isn't for you. Look at other cool Types like Dragon or Steel instead.
An occasional subversion is all in good fun, but Fairy Types should remain largely soft and feminine. There is nothing wrong with having a Type for that. Every Type has a different appeal associated with it, it just happens that Fairy represents things that not everyone really digs.
I would agree however that I would like it more if Pokémon went in the Hatterene/Primarina direction and less in the "pink blob" direction. I'd rather Fairy Types were girly but not "little-girly", and I'd also rather the fantasy aspects be emphasized more than the feminine aspects.
