You want to know what truly marks your community out as being hopelessly limited? The fan games and the rom hacks. Not to mention the fact that every other board on this website - be it /lit/, /sci/, /v/, /g/ etc. - has produced something worthy of praise in their chosen field. Yet what has /vp/ produced? One meme hack that was intentionally bad so you could all avoid having to take criticism. Wow.
"Alright", you say, "plenty of other boards have produced meme trash too!" - and you'd be right. But do you want to know what's really sad? After decades of time, and ready access to one of the most easily replicated forms of game design on the planet (sprites), the Pokemon fandom AS A WHOLE has yet to produce a single game worthy of praise - no great examples of storytelling, no innovations in game design, nothing. You all love to harp on about how GF are creatively bankrupt - how the Pokemon universe has "so much potential!" - but you have nothing to show for it. Pathetic.
Insurgence, Life of Guardians... fucking Reborn? When are you going to start applying yourselves? And, no, difficulty hack of Pokemon Crystal/FireRed/Emerald #237 does not count.
