Didn't you hear about pic related? An anon went to Masuda with art of the leaked starters during a pre-release event and asked for his autograph. Masuda was said to have said something like "Those weren't shown" or something basic/expected like that, but I'm sure he was just keeping up appearances until he could go yell at people behind the scenes after the event ended.
