It was my new years resolution to never go to a gamestop again, so instead I tried going to a play 'n' trade in my city. They had a flyer taped to the door advertising a pokemon tournament this Saturday and I think I might go. There is a ten dollar entry fee for the tournament and the prize is "to be determined".
I'm kinda nervous about what kind of people will be there. The way I see it, I think it'll either be a bunch of kids, or a couple of smogon nubs.
Has anyone else ever been to something like this? What was it like? Any tips on dealing with people and pokemon in the outside world?
