https://youtu.be/9yGGNohmAT0You see, the moderation team here on /vp/ is very relaxed and chill. They simply wish to enjoy a simple live on /vp/. They get up, they go through the report queue, they occassionally shitpost, and they go about their usual day. While they are not superhuman, they honestly do their best not to stir up waters, outside of the occasional pot shot, which is always done in good humor.
They are not a militia that is easily or readibly summoned, nor are they are a constant watchdog that monitors certain things that do not appeal to them unlike other boards.
They are simple folk, who wish to enjoy a peaceful life. They are most happiest when the board generates its own culture, and polices itself, In this, they are kind.
However; there are times when the moderation team decide to pop up and do their own thing, for whatever unknown reason. This is their perogative, call it a trade off. You see, the users get to enjoy a board that is extremely free range and grows under its own cultures, in return those who oversee said garden have special interests and permissions that normally is considered non de plume elsewhere. Sometimes favoritism, and general disgust shappens; this is to be expected, and likewise accepted. It is the trade off we have, this is nothing to fret about, as the /vp/ staff knows their limitations, and cannibalize their own if the relaxed system is taken advantage of. Sometimes, you just end up on the shitlist, there's not much you can do about that other than abide by it, or wait it out. After all, the /vp/ staff, while metabolism slower, are not immortal.
If the abuse ever gets too bad, all it takes is a phone call, and a few emails to make the playing field even again. Such is the Reality of having a relaxed board, and a likewise relaxed staff box.
