Nobodies saying you can't enjoy it or mention it, but broadcasting it like its your main trait just seems kind of dull especially if you only do it a few times. Personally i've met a few guys who claimed to be "total stoners" but actually rarely smoked or even got their own green, they just bummed off others.
Compare it to pokemon as you will, being open and saying you're a massive pokemon fan is fine but not if you don't actually buy/play the games much outside of emulating or playing someone elses, same story with the 'stoners' who don't actually buy the smoke but just want to toke it from others. Not the greatest comparison, but it keeps it slightly on topic.
