1. Pokemon games sell too well as they are as to make changes so drastic it doesn't look like the same game.
2. Making a pokemon game with that scope would take years, and there's no way the pokemon company is going keep themselves from shitting out a new main game every 2 years. Much less if it's for changing up the way it looks/plays at such a fundamental level.
