>>55221774Everything is so different now, from how it was envisioned in Kanto/Johto and earlier. I kind of treat the Crystal and RS games as a split in the timeline, and everything from Capsule Monsters to GS as being the a consistent vision. That feels more real somehow, like an alternate reality we could step into. Everything after Crystal and RS can be fun, but it's still pretty different and a lot more distant feeling, more fantastical and fictionalised with world-changing events and cookie cutter stories.
