I'm a little biased towards it because I wound up skipping gens 4 and 5 by not having a DS or bothering to emulate one until recently, and got a 3ds and both Y and Alpha Sapphire as a gift, so Gen 6 was my gen for getting back into the series.

I wasn't disappointed in the game or anything, but my run through Y was very exploratory while I picked up the new gameplay elements since last time I played pokemon, and my team was a hodgepodge of different region pokemon.

Then I got X from a friend and decided to just go with Kalos Pokémon I skipped previously (or in the case of Clawitzer didn't have access to) and even though it's unoptimized as fuck, it's one of my favorite teams I've ever run.

Playing through X at the moment, specifically using Pokémon I had never used before. On my way to bully Valerie, but I keep backtracking to my berry farm. As for the post-game, I'll do whatever X has after the league, but it's not going to be much.
