Why does the anime overshadow the manga when the latter is superior in every way?
>Most realistic & accurate depiction of the Pokémon world
Satoshi Tajiri himself, the creator of Pokémon, said it's the best adaptation of the games.
>Characters with real personalities and motives
Red is an expert at battles, Blue is a great trainer, Green the evolver, Gold the breeder, Crystal the catcher, Silver the hustler, etc.. Compared to Ash Ketchum who is just a one-dimensional bland idiot with plot armor on his side.
>Pokédex entries are real and have impact
They aren't just fluff text, Pokémon actually do what their Pokédex states it can do, and trainers utilize these concepts allowing for great tactical battles that makes anime battles look like a joke.
>Team Rocket aren't bumbling idiots like in the anime
They're a real organized crime syndicate, just like in the games.
Mafia that runs Kanto and even has gym leaders working for them.
>Artstyle that puts the anime to shame
The pages of the manga are full of great artwork. The Pokémon look alive and menacing, with badass poses. It's like Ken Sugimori's SOUL come to life, jumping straight out of the pages.
They look and behave like real monsters, in the anime they just shout their own name which doesn't make any sense.
