David usually ignores that, only answering with a "hmpft", but if one day his fuse gets burned, he just removes his jacket or coat and goes "What did you say?!"
He proceeds to scare the offender by repeating Samuel Jackson:
"What did you say?!"

"What?!"
>"No! I-I mean... wha-"
"What?! You speak 'What'?! From the people of 'Where'?! Are you a 'Who'?!"

"Say 'What' one more time! SAY IT ONE MORE TIME!!!"

"You better keep quiet or I'll shut you up myself."
And leaves. While he doesn't like to get into fights, he knows you only have to pretend you KNOW how to fight, so you avoid many fights.
But if hands must be thrown down, he will fight. Dirty if neccesary, he doesn't like to do it at all.
Side note: he will probably check the guy he beat to a pulp if he has any weapons. He knows that turning your back to an enemy may end badly.
