If you want, I have an idea for a way to obtain a rod involving some fishermen in Quaver needing a way to keep warm.
Basically, the idea is that you get some Dreamdery wool from the farm. You need to go to Dronia where someone can knit it for you. It costs you a bit of money but nothing too crazy. You can then go back to those fishermen and give them sweaters. They give you an extra rod as a way of saying thanks. Maybe we expand that to to get the rods, you need to make sweaters for other fishermen?
Inspiration comes from Aran Islands wives knitting Aran Jumpers for their sailor husbands. These are super water-proof btw
