>>12601278But all of it's names relate to silk nymphs in some way and it's English name is obviously based on the word silk in the same way jolteon is based on elecricity, flareon is on fire, vaporion is on water etc etc.
Also a silk type would result in minimal retyping of old pokemon, much like only the magneton line was retyped with the introduction of Dark and Steel in GenII. I've seen lists that fairy cultists distribute insisting
that there'll hardly be a single pokemon that doesn't gain a fairy typing or be changed to fairy. That sort of thing goes against everything game freak did the last time they introduced new types when they tried to integrate them as seamlessly as possible and made up their numbers with new pokemon and changing as few old pokemon as they could get away with.
You can use as much evidence and logic as you want to prove a point but if that evidence is wrong or flawed in the first place then the point it proves will be wrong too, like fairy type.
Put simply: Garbage in, garbage out.
You want another example of this look at the number of suspects there are for the "Jack The Ripper" killing. Many like Tumblty, Lusk, the Elephant Man, Gull and Kosminski could be brought to court based on evidence and fairly solid cases against them by Ripperologists, however obviously they can't ALL be the killer! So some of the evidence and conclusions are just wrong. Fairy cultists would do well to remember that before insisting they MUST be right because of "Evidence" as theirs is not the only theory out there and other theories like Silk have better evidence backing them anyway.
Anyway time will tell and hopefully at E3 the Fairy cultists will be forced to eat humble pie, whether that comes from Silk type, Magic type, Love type or something else I don't care as long as their annoying, arrogant, close minded cult is taught this valuable life lesson.
