While i was playing sun i wanted to get a shiny salandit i hunted for hours but i realized i was overleveling my pokemon so i did a softreset and continued playing for the story just a few minutes later a shiny i found a random shiny fletchling, i caught her and she was in my party for the rest of the journey along the way she evolved to talonflame, after that she has always been in my team for her flame body ability helping me hatch eggs i’ll probably end up buying the expansion pack because of her, i nicknamed her saki because my favorites get nicknames from capcom games
