I'm not saying there is no feeling of accomplishment finding a shiny on your own, but to be perfectly honest it is torturous work and doesn't do jack shit for you that a """non-legit""" shiny doesn't. I don't inject, by the way. I've only ever found 3 shinies during my playthroughs of each gen. 1 shiny Zigzagoon in Ruby, 1 shiny Vanillite in Black, and 1 shiny Espurr in Y. I didn't go out of my way to look for them, they just came naturally.
I just don't get people that will call one shiny "legit" and another "fake". The game is fake to begin with. It's all code, not real creatures we're talking about here ffs...
