>>42545458-- Methodology for Type Matchup Scores --
Some Terminology first
> Type Matchup (TM)The Matchup between an Attacking Type against a Defending Type, ranges from 0 to 2, 0 being immune, 0.5 being resisted, 1 being neutral and 2 being super effective.
> Type Value (TV)A Value that ranges from 1 to 1.5 (1 being the worst Offensively or Defensively while 1.5 is the best) based on the summation of the Type Matchups for that type (Ground = 1.5 Off, Normal = 1.0 Off, Steel = 1.5 Def, Ice = 1.0 Def). This is basically saying how much worth that type has at being countered so hitting Steel well is better than hitting Ice well and resisting Ground is better than resisting Normal.
> Matchup Score (MS)It is the TM^TV for Offensive and Defensive, for example, Grass DEF vs. Ground OFF = TM [0.5] ^ TV [1.5] = 0.35355 for Grass DEF, Ground OFF vs. Grass DEF = TM [0.5] ^ TV [1.03846] = 0.48684 for Ground OFF.
> Type Matchup Score (TMS)The summation of the Defensive or Offensive Matchup Scores of a Type. Converted to a 0 to 100 Scale and appears on the Graph in Pic from previous Post.
Hopefully the Pic Related for this post helps explain how I got the values that I did.
