The gusts of wind that followed, however, did little; the bugs retreating back into their caves until the hurricane had subsided, doing little more than rattling their cages. They all sprang back quickly to continue the battle.

In addition to the horde match Wriggle and Stahlos now stared down just one of the Pain's bugs. Not liking those odds he tossed out another pokeball to make this into a heavily convoluted 2 vs 2. It burst open to reveal a scizor. A very dangerous move with its 4x weakness to fire, and all those volcaronas out, but it had to be done.
"Forget the bug! Smash that snake!"
The volcarona lead off with a big root enhanced giga drain, while the scizor launched into a frenzy of punches and kicks that could smash stone and armor - superpower.
Seeing all Mike's pokemon scurrying around, the Pain decided to shake things up. He plucked a grenade off his mesh vest and hurled it off a cliff at him and his pokemon on medical duty. Read: Not Mira.
