I get whiplash going from BW2 to shit like XY but I can still give both games a playthrough and see where they are similar in ways that the other gens aren't.
But I literally can't say that without people like you coming and saying "that's impossible they're opposites" without giving any examples.
The only thing I can think of that really makes XY opposite from BW is that XY is a bad game while BW was a good game. Structurally they're very similar and I feel like most people who actually play them recognize it.
