I just realized that if Bianca were a guy, she would be Ash. Not literally of course, but they have a lot in common. They both are friendly people, have some Pokemon that could be good and managed to make it far in their journey, but they don't have what it takes, make stupid decisions, and lose to far better trainers than them, though they don't mind losing because they just enjoy being with their Pokemon.
