>>48789810I honestly tried to run a purely gen 6 mon team without any of those Pokemon in that pic. I ended up running a Staraptor anyway because: 1) it's one of my favorite Pokemon and 2) it's just so fucking based and useful in-game snd even competitively. It's honestly one of the best designed Pokemon ever made (stats-wise, movepool-wise, design-wise, and ability-wise). I just couldn't NOT have it on my team bros.
The issue is that there are just so few Gen 6 Pokemon to choose from that I ended up trading around and using all 3 starters, a Drapion, Staraptor, and Frosslass (which may soon be replaced with a Misdreavus).
The dex is just as bad as Gen 2, if not worse because the game teases you with all these cool new cross gen evos only yo make you either wait until late/post game to access them, or make you jump through ridiculous hoops for the evolution items.
