As a set they aren't bad, probably right up there with gens 1 and 4. Rowlet and Robinhoot are strongest, Luchatigre is a cool design but I don't like the presumed Fire/Fighting combo AGAIN. If it's Dark it'll go up a point. And I'm not big on Popplio or its evolution. Just not my style.
I'm hoping they're setting up a situation where the starters second types are strong against their Kalos counterparts. Robinhoot and Chesnaught line up with Flying and Fighting. Luchatigre would line up if it was Dark type, beating Delphox. And if Popplio's evolution is Fairy type, which seems likely, it'll counter Greninja's Dark type.
