I am DONE with this series for good and I absolutely 100% mean it this time. FUCK sake.

The shred of hope that I was clinging onto - that SwSh was just a one-time DLC greediness deal - has been torn apart today.

DLC is now a REAL cycle in Pokemon. Just in case you're a fucking retarded shill cunt I'll break it down for you:

1) Scam 1: Release the same game twice on the same day with slight roster differences
(seethe level - low, they've been pulling this shit since 1996)
2) Scam 2: They're releasing at least 1 game per year at this point, meaning that all the newer games are lazy, unpolished, unfinished trash
(seethe level - medium, this has only been a thing since Gen 5 and onward, but is more or less a cemented pattern of behaviour now)
3) Scam 3: Do all of the above, charge $60 per game ($120 for both versions) AND double dip with another $35 DLC expansion PER GAME ($170 total for both games)
(seethe level: high, now that this is the second time this has happened, it's guaranteed to happen every Gen).

I honestly cannot believe this. I dropped my phone out of pure distress when I was watching the livestream today. Not even afraid to admit that I actually fucking cried.

THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS SHIT

WHAT THE FUCK are those starter evolutions, I got my fucking hopes up so much and for it all to come crashing down. Even the croc that looks halfway like a Pokemon is still only like a 4/10 design, FUCK.

All the new mons SUCK, objectively. The game comes out THIS MONTH and the revealed mons featured are fucking Smoliv, Lechonk, Bellibolt and now a fucking Reddit coin bug.

Not one, NOT ONE good new mon design and the game comes out in less than a month.

The open world looks barren, the Pokemon suck, the new tera gimmick is even worse than Z moves and Dynamax, there are frame skips all over the place. This is the biggest disaster of a game to date.

Gens 1 and 2? An artistically expressive and redolent adventure. Every new Pokemon you encountered, every new song you heard in the overworld, every tense battle theme thrusting you into what felt like a duel for everlasting grandure.

Gen 9? hey guise we remade diglett but now he's wiglett which is totally new you guise srsly xD, also Ed Sheeran is the new OST because Masuda is too lazy to write music anymore he would rather ruin the series instead.

The slow decline of this series over the last 5 years especially has been hard to watch. But I kept telling myself "don't worry, the new game will be the game that brings it all back to kino". But after PLA failed to do this, and seeing the shit parade that is SV, I have finally given up hope forever. Not even scared to admit to you cunts that I am typing this shit with tears in my eyes.

Goodbye Pokemon. I loved you.

First of all what the fuck happened to actual pronounceable names like Squirtle and Pikachu.

Secondly, Game Freak do not know how to make Pokemon anymore. I hated all of the new Galar Pokemon and I hate every new SV mon revealed so far. They all objectively look like trash compared to Gens 1-3. Fuck, I criticised Gen 4 at the time but that was still a better representation of what Pokemon was than the shite we're getting this Gen.

Imagine thinking that Pokemon in 2022 is anything close to representing what it did in the glory days of the late 90s/early 2000s. It's a fucking travesty. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Changing types halfway through battle is the fucking limit.

The series is a crude MOCKERY of what it once was. Look around you at the state of 2022 Pokemon and tell me with a straight fucking face that this is the same magic from 1998 that brought us all here.
