>>34782007If all animals have been replaced, then in descending order of "fucking shit up":
-We say goodbye to a constant supply of meat, eggs, and milk, at least until we can domesticate a pokemon stupid enough to unquestioningly be born, fattened, and slaughtered.
-Pokemon in general are too large to pollinate plants, so flowering plants which depend on insects die off. This leaves those which we can manually pollinate, those which reproduce by wind, and those which reproduce by runners.
-Probably a lot of ecosystem stuff I'm forgetting, like a lack of tiny scavengers and decomposers
-Pokemon don't form a functional ecosystem by themselves so a lot of the pokemon themselves probably starve and die
But let's assume that I'm not a total killjoy and that we still have the necessary animals:
-Without pokeballs, we now have no method of controlling the monstrous animals we now face. Also even if the pokemon look just like they do in the games, most people would not know what they are and not immediately assume that they are "catchable" or "trainable".
-With the dangerous powers and negative effects that wild pokemon would have on society, they would definitely be culled and hunted. If Texans can't deal with rattlesnakes existing out in the wilderness then actual firebreathing dragons sure aren't getting a free pass. Instead of Rattlesnake Round-ups there would be Pokemon Roundups.
-Pokemon would definitely attack and eat people. Without the benefit of modern weaponry then many people would be unable to deal with lazer-sauruses and mind control spiders. It would be like if Dungeons and Dragons monsters were real.
