I can also imagine the Pokemon league being a massive Maori Pā on the northern cape, with the champion dressed as a maori chief. Just before challenge him Team Aqua attacks and we get to see an awesome cutscene of Kyogre rise out of the ocean and obliterate all of the land under the Pā.
