This episode was easily the best SM episode.
Psyduck has turned into a fucking monster battler which was really surprising, taking on both Ashimari and Amamyko in a 2V1 battle and coming out as the stronger Pokemon.
Ash got called out for saying he "earned" all of his badges and Misty and Brock went pure smug about how he had his handed out to him.
Brock has had his greatest battle in the entirety of his Pokemon history and has never looked cooler. An absolute beast ripping off his shirt and showing off those massive guns. His necklace Mega Stone was dope.
Misty as well got her best battle in any series and for it to be against Ash in a fucking beautifully animated fight is even better. She had a great looking Mega Hair Elastic which was neat. Mega Gyarados is fucking sick and actually felt threatening unlike Lysanders, and her and Ashs banter before, during, and after the fight felt like classic Ash and Misty.
The Alola crew was wow'd by Gym Leaders and battles, received replica badge souvenirs which was a nice touch, and all learned something from this trip. Kukui got fucking hyped and confirmed finally that he wants to start assembling a League with both Oaks cheering him on.
Megas are fucking perfect in SM. Their form change animation is better then XY's an not long and drawn out and they all exude power. M-Steelix tanked Kiawe's Z-Move which was sick and Pikachu fucking annihilated M-Dos showing off the power differences between Ash and Kiawe and Megas VS Z-Moves.
Jigglypuff is Alola bound, it's returning with a series long vengeance.
Misty and Brock essentially said they'll be reappearing in the future of SM.
TriPokalon cameos.
Battles were 10/10.
Did I mention Psyduck was a fucking beast?
Phenomenal episode that covered so much in such a short amount of time.
Then everything that happened after the credits. Get. Fucking. Hyped boys! The SM Golden Age is upon us!
