Alternatively XY because of the 3D animation and affection feature. It felt like a natural addition to the game, and the animations are very detailed. Pokemon can sleep, eat, laugh, and look at you funny like pets do. On the bottom screen, sometimes your friend's Pokemon would could visit over Wi-Fi.
Pokemon is best to me when it has little systems like these outside of battling.
