just go join stuff. Take a class at some community college or something for the summer/semester. Go join some causes; protip the dog thing actually works 99% of the time. Everyone is drawn to cute dogs. Just look around for neighborhood stuff that you can fill your time with. And just don't get so sour about it. 1) there are plenty of people in the world who don't/never will have a mate and it's ok 2) anything can happen within your life time literally, anything
I'm one of those people who believes that there's that one person for everyone, even though that's a little discouraging considering there are >6billion people on the Earth and you won't even meet .01% of them, but hey if you're meant to be together, you'll find each other
