A little off topic OP-wise, yet concerning the shitstorm that already took place;
While I am not overly fond of picking faves based on their competitive use, the line of thinking behind it is too common for a mankind to ignore.
While a select few might run the banner of reason and moderation, the rest will pursue the call of being a human - and thus proud owners of OU - or even UU - tier will look down upon those lower tiers just like any common person might look down upon retard-only edition of spelling bee. We might like an illusion of tolerance and equality every once in a while, yet we are not going to foster these qualities in our daily lives.
Sometimes we might gain sympathy for a given Pokemon, yet in the end its competitive use will be that final evaluation that will decide if we shall stick to this pokemon in the long run.
Smogon tiers may seem harsh to some, yet it is the only commonly acceptable judgement, the test of time for your potential favourites.
