Original = No Mega Evolution at all, so up to Gen 5 without XY and beyond (this is claimed by Zinnia, where there's an alternate Hoenn/universe where there was no Kalos war or Mega Evolution). Revised versions take precedent over initial versions, like Emerald overrides R/S (BW makes mention of both Team Aqua and Magma causing trouble iirc, and PWT mentions the Champion title switching between Steven and Wallace sometime), and Platinum overrides D/P (Cynthia mentions the Distortion World in BW)
XY timeline = Similar to the previous except Kalos had the war and had Mega Evolution
ORAS timeline = Similar to XY but still distinct, because in XY they beat you over the head that Mega Evolution is only known in Kalos, which Hoenn contradicts even with its old history of Rayquaza Mega Evolving and all that. This timeline also has some similarities to the anime, since Steven alludes to meeting Alain.
USUM = Technically all revised versions besides B2W2 are new timelines as mentioned earlier, but then USUM has the Rainbow Rocket alternate timelines with those universes that didn't have a protagonist character to save everyone
LGPE timeline = This CAN be tied to SM/USUM in terms of time, but then it skews the rest of the timeline, so it just means that if ORAS, USUM, and LGPE are in the same timeline, then the events for HGSS/Platinum/BW/BW2 had to have not happened or happened very differently. This is because Mina's placement in LGPE makes the gap between LGPE and USUM to be at most 6 years, but the other stories extend past 6 years (FRLG > HGSS = 3 years, HGSS > BW = 1+ years because of Caitlin, BW > B2W2 = 2 years, B2W2 > SM/USUM = 2 years, which is already more than 7 years)
