>>36333806Hey man, I feel you. The time, effort, and money it'd take to properly animate every single Pokemon with every possible move - as opposed to the generic character animations and shared battle effect we currently have - would be a massive undertaking for little payoff.
But Pokemon is the most profitable franchise in the world.
Nintendo, GameFreak, etc. are NOT strapped for cash. Pokemon is not made by an indie studio. They could easily make all the money they needed for that kind of undertaking with one Pokemon GO community weekend. They have two reasons they don't refine and polish the animations to not be generic; one is because they don't have to in order to make a fuckton of money, and the other is because that means less money for the bonuses handed out to the CEOs and shareholders.
