After watching the Zekrom version of Victini I thought that it was fitting since he wanted to take it to the beach, but that sounds like a weak argument when the other dude wanted to restore his family's land.
Also, would Ash count as a chosen one or just as someone in the wrong place at the right time? I know that the chosen one stuff was dub only, but in I choose you! he was basically Ho-Oh's chosen and the same could apply to the anime given how many times he saw the damn bird.
