>>56525672I mean, I already write battles like that (though I don't think I've actually even published a battle sequence yet), I meant between humans, I kind of just want to write this as a full on magical fight between Alex and the enemy I envisioned. I suppose I could have a fight alongside Pokemon, but that brings me to my next point, wouldn't an intricate magical system actually make Pokemon training kind of obsolete? Modern weaponry can't replace what Pokemon do, but actual spells can, especially since Pokemon attacks kind of are spells. Why bother with maintaining a Charizard that knows Flamethrower if you can just cast Flamethrower yourself and even create spells that Pokemon can't?
