Sylva is a quiet, composed, reasonable doctor who travels with her Chingling companion Twink across the region. Raised in a settlement where flora was abundant and the inhabitants were remarkably healthy, she was inspired by the skills and knowledge of the doctors in her village that managed to save her family and friends from succumbing to diseases with little-to-nothing more than resources from the wilderness. Thus, Sylva has taken a liking to pursuing a medical career using herbs, berries, and other natural resources meant to revitalize the ill.
Compared to her tutors, Sylva still has much to learn in the ways of medicine. Although she is reliable, it’s the more critical diseases that she needs work on, which is why she keeps a few books in her pouch as well as ingredients so that she may practice while out in the open. Also, while she doesn’t like to admit it, she’s genuinely intimidated by lethal diseases in particular, as she realizes her skills are not up to par to combat those, and wishes to not be responsible for failing a patient.
Sylva maintains a resolved and calm smile, as she has a very patient and relaxed outlook. While she does look benevolent, she’s quite a capable fighter, but prefers to fight to defend herself. When it comes to training, she simply prefers to exercise, as she does not want to have to resort to using her own medicine to heal herself when she could use them to aid patients.
Needless to say, she doesn’t work for free, but won’t frown on someone who can’t pay right away. If urgency is a priority, she can wait to be repaid; she understands first hand how lack of funds can make one become desperate when another’s life is on the line.
