If I remember correctly Khu’s hint for this mon was “copper flower” or “Copper sulfate flower” or something along those lines. I believe Glimmora’s design is based on chalcopyrite (CuFeS2). More specifically, chalcopyrite that’s been exposed chemically weathered by acid (hence the poison typing). I’ll elaborate:
Chalcopyrite is one of the most common forms of copper ore in the mining industry. It’s naturally golden in color. When exposed to acid, it becomes blue/purple iridescent like this image.
Glimmora lives on cave walls. When chalcopyrite is on a cave wall (vs. tucked away in the earths surface) it can chemically weather to Glimmora’s colors via slightly acidic rainwater. Based design for rock nerds.
